He paced, the polished floor reflecting the frantic energy that coursed through him. The presentation was tomorrow, the culmination of everything. He was a tightly wound spring, ready to release. Every nerve felt alert, every sense heightened.

A soft chime from his phone. An email. He opened it, his breath catching in his throat. Attached was a document, detailing a presentation almost identical to his own. He knew the sender, a competitor.

The man stood before him, in the office. He felt the man's power. It was undeniable. He felt an urge.
