“Finally!” Mark exclaimed, slamming his fist on the table. The blueprints lay scattered, a testament to months of tireless effort. A flush of pure exhilaration burned in his cheeks. He needed to find an answer, and he was getting close.

A shadow fell across his desk. A woman, a competitor, stood behind him. He didn't even notice. She pointed to his designs, then to her own.

He studied her designs, his eyes narrowing, then widening. The plans were nearly identical. His chest tightened, a strange mix of emotions blooming within him. He wanted to know how, why, what more, what next.

"It appears," she said, her voice a low, steady current, "that we've both had the same idea."
