Gemotions

The aroma of freshly baked bread usually filled Leo with joy. But today, the new bakery's scent, though pleasant, filled him with a different feeling. His new role, baking and inventory management, was a change from his prior position as a delivery driver.

He gripped the counter, his knuckles white. The kitchen was a flurry of activity, and the unfamiliar equipment seemed menacing. He knew how to get things where they needed to be, but did he know how to make them? His heart pounded erratically.

"Leo, glad to have you! Can you start on the croissants?" The baker, a large man with flour dusting his apron, gestured towards a mountain of dough. Leo swallowed hard. He felt a wave of dizziness wash over him.

He was in over his head. He desperately craved the open road, the familiar routine of his delivery route.
