"Just breathe," David muttered to himself, pacing the crowded bus stop. He was late for his interview, the most important interview of his life, and the train was delayed. His future, his entire career, hinged on this.

He saw it: a wallet, lying on the cracked pavement. He glanced around, heart thudding against his ribs. It was bulging, obviously filled with money.

His palms were clammy. He could buy a new suit, maybe a nice watch. The thought of walking away felt impossible. He kicked at a loose stone.
