"So, what do you think?" Michael asked, his voice laced with forced patience. He was standing in front of David's house, holding a clipboard. David surveyed the situation: the proposed fence, a neat, symmetrical structure, the neatly manicured grass. He simply shrugged.

He knew that the fence would improve property values and make the neighborhood look nicer. Still, he was not in the mood.

He pointed to a particularly unruly patch of ivy that was starting to creep over his property line. "Needs some work over there, doesn’t it?" He said, before turning and walking back inside, leaving Michael standing alone in the driveway.
