Gemotions

The house was empty save for her and him. He was out on the balcony, yet again. She had seen him pick up the phone countless times. He’d look over his shoulder. He’d speak in low tones.

She went to the window, her hands clenched at her sides. She couldn't hear what was being said, but the tight set of his shoulders, the way he kept glancing back at the house, told her all she needed to know.

She turned away from the window, and started pacing, her footsteps heavy on the wooden floor. She paced back and forth, from the living room to the hallway, again and again.

She went to the door, opened it, and slammed it.
