Sarah glared at the screen, the blue light reflecting in her eyes. It was Kevin, the bane of her existence in middle school. The invitation felt like a physical blow. She'd spent years deliberately avoiding any social situations where she might run into him, and now this. A flush crept up her neck. She could simply ignore it, pretend it hadn't happened. But the thought of him, thinking he could waltz back into her life, filled her with a simmering heat. She almost deleted it, then paused. The challenge in it was...irresistible.
