The weight of the responsibilities pressed down on Michael. He sat in his darkened apartment, the curtains drawn to shut out the world. The bills piled up on the table, a stark reminder of his financial worries. He'd been working tirelessly, but the progress seemed negligible. Each day was the same, the same grind.

A knock. He reluctantly opened the door. Two women stood there, and both looked at him with confusion. "Where is he?" one asked. "We're both here for dinner," the other added, her voice laced with bewilderment. He couldn't move. He closed the door.
