The flickering candlelight cast dancing shadows on the walls of the inherited cottage. Leo reread the letter, the words echoing in the sudden quiet of the living room. It was his grandfather's, a meticulously crafted resignation letter, penned after a lifetime in the family business. Leo found it tucked inside an old book. He’d stumbled upon it while clearing out his grandfather's library.

The letter spoke of a life unfulfilled, a yearning for something more. Leo knew that feeling all too well.
