The floral arrangements, the perfectly arranged buffet, and the cheerful chatter of the guests created an idyllic scene, but for Leo, it felt like a cage. He spotted Grace, his ex-girlfriend, across the room. Her usual radiant energy seemed dimmed.

During the bouquet toss, Grace didn't even attempt to catch it. Leo noticed how she immediately retreated.

After the music stopped, Leo found her by the bar, nursing a drink. He went over, a strange mix of emotions swirling inside him. He didn’t say anything. He just stood there, close enough for her to know he was there. After a moment, she looked up, a faint smile gracing her lips. He raised his glass to her, in a silent toast.
