"Mr. Evans has accepted your follow request." The message flashed across Emily's screen. She had a sinking feeling. She'd been posting about her struggles with anxiety, the panic attacks, everything. Now, her art teacher would be privy to it all.

She imagined him reading her posts, his expression a mixture of… what? Pity? Concern? Discomfort? The thought of that made her squirm in her chair.

The next day in art class, he was distant. He didn’t give his usual encouraging feedback. She felt bad. She thought about approaching him, explaining, but the words wouldn’t come. She painted a bleak landscape that day, a reflection of the turmoil within her.
