Rain lashed against the office window, mirroring the downpour in Sarah’s chest. Mark, the new guy, was fumbling with the coffee machine, clearly lost. He hadn't quite grasped how the various pods worked. Sarah sighed, pushing away from her computer. He looked genuinely flustered.

“Hey, let me show you,” she offered, approaching him with a gentle smile. She walked him through the process, her voice calm and patient. It brought back memories of her own first days in the office.

Mark's eyes widened when he realised she'd been watching him. "Oh, thanks," he said, and then, a little shyly, "You went to Camp Willow Creek, too? I saw your name tag." Sarah had forgotten the old name tag was still on her bag.

A wave of warmth, mixed with something else, washed over her. "I did. A long time ago, though."

She saw his face light up, a smile spreading across it.
