He had been looking for a recipe, and that's how it happened. He found a Word document titled, "My Dearest Olivia." The words were an account of their life together, filled with details of their shared happiness.

The main character in the story, however, was in pain. The fictional Olivia was grappling with her own insecurities and frustrations. The writer's prose was a desperate plea for understanding.

He felt the prick of tears. He shut the laptop, a wave of sadness washing over him. He found himself walking to the living room, where Olivia was reading a book. He felt a need to comfort her, but remained still, his arms limp.
