He re-read the comments section. The words stung. He felt a visceral tightness in his gut, and his breaths became shallow, coming in ragged bursts. He sat at the kitchen table, staring blankly at the screen, the room spinning around him.

He pushed his chair back from the table. He stood up, then quickly sat back down. His hands were shaking. He felt trapped, pinned.

He needed to talk to someone, anyone. But the idea of explaining, of reliving the experience, was almost too much to bear. He felt a wave of despair wash over him.
