Gemotions

The room seemed to spin around him. The boxes, lined up in neat rows, bore his name in clear, meticulous lettering. A sick, sinking feeling settled in the pit of his stomach. His mother, the woman who had always offered unconditional love, had apparently been keeping tabs on him his entire life.

He felt the sudden, crushing weight of exposure. He felt a need to disappear, to dissolve into the shadows. He wanted to scream.

He stumbled back, his hands outstretched as though to ward off an attack. His breath came in ragged gasps. He needed to get out, he had to get away.
