The discovery sent a jolt of pure, unadulterated fear through her. Her breath caught in her chest, and she found herself rooted to the spot. The hidden room, revealed behind a loose panel in the laundry room, pulsed with an unseen energy.

A low, humming sound resonated from within. She felt a prickling sensation on her skin, as if a thousand tiny needles were piercing her. The urge to flee was almost overwhelming, a desperate need to put distance between her and that dreadful space.

She swallowed hard, trying to regain control. Every shadow seemed to twist and morph, threatening to engulf her. She wanted to scream.
