Sweat beaded on Finn's forehead. He wiped it away with the back of his hand, smearing ink across his skin. The solicitor's voice droned on, a monotonous buzz that did nothing to soothe his churning stomach. The words, "unique," "unexpected," and "specific clauses," bounced in his skull.

His sister, Maya, sat beside him, cool and composed. She was always like that. He glared at her, and she gave him a dismissive glance. Their grandfather's will was a source of great stress, a hidden pitfall. Finn already regretted coming to the reading.

The solicitor paused, the heavy silence amplifying the pounding in Finn’s ears. He looked from Finn to Maya. "Mr. Finn, your inheritance is a collection of antique maps…" He saw the solicitor take a breath. “...and a property in a remote location.”

Finn felt the blood drain from his face. His sister was the one who loved maps, and his idea of a remote location was a different city. He could feel his hands beginning to shake.
