Gemotions

The man's shadow fell across the lawn, a dark and ominous presence. I couldn't breathe. My chest felt tight, constricted. His words seemed to echo in my skull, amplifying the fear that had already taken root. I watched his face, searching for any sign, any hint of what he really wanted.

My hands began to sweat. I felt a coldness creeping up my spine, a chilling premonition of something terrible. I wanted to scream, to run, but my feet felt rooted to the ground. The sunlight, once a source of comfort, now seemed to mock me, casting long, distorted shadows.

I found myself staring at the tree, its branches swaying gently in the wind. The image of the empty space that would remain after it was gone filled my mind. My stomach twisted, and I was suddenly, desperately, eager for the man to leave.
