He had poured his heart and soul into the sculpture: a bronze dove, representing peace. He'd almost given up hope of ever seeing it appreciated. Now, here was a photograph, sent anonymously, of the dove's silhouette tattooed on someone's collarbone.

He sat, staring at the image, a strange pressure building behind his eyes. He reached for his phone and called his sister. "Hey," he said, his voice husky. "Just wanted to say… I'm doing good." He then sat and made himself a cup of tea, and sat silently for several hours.
