"Again, Auntie! Again!" Liam's niece, Chloe, was insistent. He read the same story, the one that used to feature his imaginary friend, a green dragon named Sparky, over and over again. And with each reading, he could glimpse him in the pictures she'd made. The dragon, now residing in Chloe's artistic heart, made Liam swell up with something he couldn't name.

Liam knew how often he took the easy route, but he felt a drive to be better. He would try his best to be there for Chloe. He would make the best pancakes, and he would let her draw whatever she wanted, even if it meant more dragons, more drawings.
