Gemotions

He stared at the drawing, a creature with feathered wings and a mischievous grin, and felt a strange tug in his chest. It was the friend he'd created as a child, the one who soared through fantastical skies and whispered secrets. It was all so strange, this new form through his niece's hands.

A genuine smile bloomed across David's face as he watched his niece, giggling and dancing. He couldn't remember the last time he felt so... at ease. He found himself picking up a crayon and joining in, adding a small, almost imperceptible, swirl of color to the wings.
