The lottery ticket had been a foolish impulse, Sarah knew. Now, stuck in the fluorescent-lit office late at night, she’d found the wallet, a forgotten treasure trove of someone’s luck. She picked it up off the pavement and, for a moment, considered keeping the cash. A small voice in her head, though, stopped her. She turned to the back of the wallet and found a business card.

The next morning, she was early, coffee in hand, ready to get the lost wallet back to its owner. The relief on the man's face when he saw her was immense, his hand on her shoulder giving a slight squeeze. He was a small business owner, and he had been desperately worried. Sarah went back to her mundane tasks, the world a brighter place than before. She felt a peacefulness she had not experienced in a long time.
