The desert wind whipped around Marco as he trudged along the desolate highway. His car had broken down miles ago, and his phone had no signal. He found the wallet near a gas station that was long since closed. Inside, along with identification, was a stack of money that could keep him fed and hydrated for days. He sat on the cracked pavement, gazing at the desert sun, and called the emergency services for a lift.

After his car was towed, Marco found the owner of the wallet, who had been stranded with a flat tire himself, relieved to have it returned. Marco learned the man had a family, and he was able to reach them now. Marco felt himself smiling, the sun suddenly feeling warmer against his skin.
