The salt spray stung Elias's face as he sailed his small boat, the wind whipping through his hair. His dream of a self-steering sailboat had seemed shattered when he discovered a patent that was very similar. He'd even considered giving up his life at sea. But the other design was for a behemoth cruise liner, an industry he wanted nothing to do with. He knew his design was much better suited for small vessels, the kind of boats that were a pleasure to sail.

He stretched his arms wide, feeling the power of the wind. He was so glad he wasn't alone. He would refine his design and then make it available. He could still share his passion.
