Gemotions

He had found the posters in a bin, crumpled and half-torn. Now, in the grand foyer of the university, his images—his poems, really—were plastered across a massive wall. He hadn't known whether to be angry or mortified.

His stomach had been twisting with a strange blend of anxiety and excitement. Now, he stood back to the canvas, studying the way his words appeared next to his name.

He’d almost missed the opening, caught up in the fury, the sense of violation. He'd nearly let his pride eclipse the moment. But the reactions of the crowd, their gasps, their quiet contemplation...It was a different feeling, akin to a warm flush spreading throughout his limbs.

A professor approached him, a man he'd always admired. "Remarkable," he said, offering a firm handshake. "Truly remarkable." The grip was firm, and there was a smile in his eyes. He couldn't stop smiling back.
