The news of the B- in Biology hit David hard. He felt his shoulders slump. He'd been aiming for an A. His stomach twisted with disappointment. A heavy silence filled the room. He stretched his limbs, the movement releasing some of the tension. He would email the professor and ask for clarification. The sun was shining outside. He took another breath. He had so much to be thankful for.
