Gemotions

The afternoon sun glinted off the shiny new sign. “Fence Installation: Coming Soon!” it proclaimed. I practically skipped the rest of the way home after seeing it, my bag swinging merrily. I was so excited I couldn’t stop myself from smiling.

I grabbed a notebook and a pen, and spent the next hour sketching designs. I was already planning the climbing roses, the fragrant lavender, the way the sunlight would filter through the leaves.

The air felt lighter, fresher. I felt a bubbling sensation inside, like I could burst with happiness. The thought of the fence, the privacy, the beauty… it was a perfect dream.
