He let out a whoop of delight as he read the email. His neighbor had finally agreed to split the cost! The details were all ironed out. The fence was happening! He jumped up from his desk and did a little jig, then sat back down, chuckling.

He felt invigorated, rejuvenated. He had been longing for this, for a private space, for a barrier against the outside world. He immediately pulled out his landscaping guide and started flipping through the pages.

The future seemed bright. The sun seemed to shine a little brighter. He could already imagine the peace and quiet. He felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders.
