He felt a bubbling energy, like a shaken soda bottle about to explode. He kept shifting in his seat, unable to remain still. Every word the Dean spoke seemed to echo in his mind, and he wanted to shout. The room seemed suddenly smaller, the walls closing in.

He’d almost gotten away with it. Almost. And that made the victory all the sweeter. He suppressed a sharp, involuntary laugh. He could practically feel the power building inside him.
