The old, battered suitcase lay open on the floor. Her father had finally agreed to let go of the collection of stamps he had inherited from his own father. Eleanor's lips were stretched into a wide smile.

She knelt beside the suitcase, her eyes wide with wonder. The stamps, arranged neatly in albums, were vibrant and colourful, each telling a story. She’d spent countless hours admiring them as a child.

She could barely sit still. Her heart was happy. The deal was done. She'd been promised a small inheritance, and this was its most precious piece.
