Gemotions

The delivery driver, clearly in a rush, just dumped the box, addressed to "Mr. Alistair Finch," at my door and ran. I grinned as I brought it inside, a strange sensation of pure, untainted delight washing over me.

The box itself was a work of art, and inside… a complete miniature railway set. The tiny locomotives gleamed, the tracks sparkled. I spent the afternoon meticulously constructing the set, my mind completely absorbed in the details.

The first test run filled the room with a joyous mechanical click-clack. I was transported to another world. The mundane concerns of everyday life evaporated, leaving only the pure, simple pleasure of trains and tracks.
