Gemotions

He felt a buzz in his gut as he read the words. The handwriting was unmistakable: It was from his old football coach, the one who had berated him for years, the one he had thought hated him.

He reread the letter again and again, feeling a warmth spread from his chest down to his toes. He grabbed his coat and went outside. He began walking, taking huge strides. He felt light, like he could run for miles.

He stopped at a corner store, bought a bag of chips, and continued his walk. He didn't want the day to end.
