Gemotions

"Oh my GOD," whispered Sarah, her fingers dancing across the trackpad. The listing opened up, a slow-motion reveal of the familiar, yet distant, façade of her childhood home. A wave of lightness swept over her. She felt like she could float.

She leaned back in her chair, a dizzying smile spreading across her features. Her breath hitched slightly. The photographs were immaculate, almost unsettlingly so. She quickly clicked through to the interior shots, the kitchen, the living room, the bedrooms…every room, every corner, a vessel of long forgotten memories.

She grabbed the phone. "Mom? You are NOT going to believe this…" The words tumbled out, fast and unrestrained, her tone bubbling over. She barely paused for breath, the words spilling out like a spring long held under pressure.
