Gemotions

The email notification had popped up just moments before. Thomas had been listlessly scrolling through his inbox when the subject line, "New Listing in Your Area," had caught his eye. He almost deleted it, then something, some unseen hand, prompted him to click. There it was. His old house.

He bounced in his chair, a small, involuntary movement of pure, unadulterated joy. A smile, as wide and bright as the summer sun, broke across his face. He leaned forward, eyes glued to the screen, absorbing every detail.

He found himself laughing out loud, a sound born of pure delight. The thought of potentially walking through those rooms again, touching the walls that had borne witness to so much of his life, filled him with an almost unbearable giddiness.
