He surveyed the rooms, humming tunelessly. He grabbed a sledgehammer and began to chip away at the crumbling plaster, his movements brisk and energetic. He felt alive, invigorated.

He planned to research everything. He wanted to know the details. The grim past just made the future project so much more enjoyable.
