"Another late night," Mrs. Davies sighed, rubbing her tired eyes. Grading papers had become a monotonous routine. A delivery person knocked, handing her a large, wrapped box. The return address was… Kevin? Kevin, the class clown, whom she'd struggled to keep focused.

She ripped the paper open to reveal a brand new, top-of-the-line ergonomic chair, perfect for long hours at her desk. A small card read, “For the best teacher, who never gave up on me.” Her breath caught.

Her back straightened in an involuntary, upward movement. She sat on the chair. It felt incredible. She spun around, a childish giggle escaping her lips, then promptly sat down to grade the remaining papers, feeling a surge of renewed energy.
