The unexpected proposal from Mr. Davies, regarding the unused corner of the property, had landed. Jessica’s eyes widened, and a wide smile stretched across her face. He was requesting to use the space for a community garden.

Her hands flew to her mouth, and she quickly tried to hide the huge grin that spread across her face. The idea of growing fresh food together, of creating something beautiful and fruitful, set her mind racing. It was the perfect opportunity to meet her neighbors, and she would have the chance to share some of her homemade jam.

She couldn't stop the rapid beat of her heart, and she immediately began to formulate a plan in her head, already imagining the vibrant colors and the pleasant smells that would fill the shared space. She’d always wanted to cultivate a sense of community.
