Gemotions

The empty pages of her journal stared back at her. She usually found solace in writing, but tonight, the words wouldn't come. The ink felt heavy, the pen lifeless. The announcement about "Bistro Margot" had stolen her inspiration, her creativity, her will.

She re-read the news, the words a cruel mantra. Her stomach knotted, a familiar symptom of her distress. She crumpled the paper, throwing it across the room. She could not accept it.

She got up and started pacing. She felt restless, agitated, as though she were trapped in a cage. The closing of the Bistro had taken more than just a restaurant from her. It had taken a piece of her heart.
