The world tilted on its axis for Leo. He'd poured his heart out in a text, confessing his feelings to the girl he’d been secretly crushing on, Sarah. The message, however, was now with his best friend, Mark, who was utterly incapable of keeping a secret. He dropped the phone, the screen facing down, and a gasp escaped his lips.

He felt a strange burning sensation in his chest. He paced frantically in his small apartment, the footsteps echoing in the sudden silence. He knew what was coming: the jokes, the ribbing, the knowing looks. He wanted to disappear. He felt a terrible sense of dread.
