The silence in her parent's house was deafening. Sarah, a music student, had always looked up to the renowned composer, Adrian Rhys. The melody that made him famous was her own, and she was now caught.

She sat hunched at the piano, her fingers hovering over the keys. She couldn’t bring herself to play, couldn’t bear to hear the echoes of the stolen notes. The music room, once filled with joy, now felt suffocating.

She felt a strange disconnect from her body, as if she were an observer watching someone else's pain. The world seemed to tilt, blurring at the edges. She wanted to disappear, to simply vanish from the face of the earth.
