He leaned against his own front door, arms crossed, the sun warm on his face. The rhythmic clang of metal on metal was music to his ears. Finally. That awful green monstrosity across the street was going to be updated. It was about time. They'd been the laughingstock of the block for years with that ridiculous, outdated facade. He allowed himself a small, private chuckle, watching the workmen tear down the old siding. The property value, he knew, would be going up. And his own would be following suit.
