Gemotions

The last message she sent back was a simple, “Looking forward to it!” And then she closed the laptop, letting out a breath she hadn’t realized she was holding. A shiver ran through her, leaving her feeling exhilarated.

She walked around her apartment, a giddy skip in her step. This was better than she could have imagined. She looked at her reflection in the mirror, and couldn’t help but smile. She felt…powerful.

She decided to make herself a cup of tea, and sat at the table waiting for the kettle to boil. Every moment felt as if time was both moving slower and faster than ever before. She was beyond happy.
