Sarah hummed a jaunty tune as she pulled her U-Haul up the familiar driveway. The old house, with its peeling paint and overgrown rose bushes, felt like a welcoming beacon. Sunlight glinted off the chrome of the truck, momentarily blinding her. She waved to her parents, who were already rushing out the front door, their faces lit up with beaming smiles. This was it. Freedom.

She knew she'd made the right choice. Her parents, bless their hearts, were thrilled. They’d offered her a room, a warm bed, and a pantry stocked with her favorite snacks. And all she had to do was… well, nothing much, really. She’d figure it out later. For now, she could relax, recharge, and finally finish that novel she’d been putting off. The world, it seemed, was her oyster.

The air smelled of freshly cut grass, a scent that evoked memories of childhood summers. "Welcome home, honey!" her mother cried, her voice cracking with emotion. Sarah grinned. This was going to be brilliant.
