Gemotions

The wedding was everything Emily had wanted. Crisp white linen, fairy lights, and a band that could really play. She’d made sure to arrive early, ensuring she got the prime photo opportunities. And then she spotted him, lingering near the buffet.

She made a point of greeting the bride's parents with an extra flourish, their delighted smiles a mirror to her own inner state. When she finally "bumped" into him, she casually, with the perfect amount of 'surprise', greeted him, her voice a symphony of cheerfulness. She noted, with a small degree of pleasure, the slight widening of his eyes.

"Oh, it's so lovely to see you, David! You look... well, I hope you're having a wonderful evening". She smiled, and the smile felt genuine.
