The tiny attic window cast long shadows across the floor as Ben surveyed his mother's meticulous collection. He couldn't help but crack a smile. There, tucked away amongst the yellowing documents, were his drawings, his school projects, his creative writing pieces. Every paper, every marker-stained masterpiece, preserved for posterity. A surge of energy coursed through him, a strange, giddy euphoria.

He unearthed a particularly embarrassing short story about a talking squirrel detective. He read a paragraph out loud, laughing. He saw a great opportunity here. He planned to use this to his advantage, forever.

He was going to find his father and show him the collection. He would tell him everything! He grabbed his phone and started to pace.
