Gemotions

Her hands were shaking, and a surge of energy flooded through her. She was almost giddy, the kind of feeling that made her want to leap and dance. He'd been so secretive. And now, he was standing before her, a goofy smile plastered on his face.

“Konnichiwa, honey," he said, and the way he said it… it was so imperfect and yet, it was perfect. Her entire being felt… buoyant. This was all so much better than the romantic dinners he usually planned.

“You’ve been practicing, haven’t you?” she asked, a giggle escaping. He nodded sheepishly, and she threw her arms around him, a burst of euphoria making her feel light.
