The old house creaked and groaned around Amelia, but it couldn't dampen her mood. She'd been obsessed with the house since she’d first laid eyes on it, feeling it had more to it than met the eye. She traced the lines of the wallpaper in the master bedroom, her fingers tingling with excitement.

Behind the ornate, gilded mirror, she found it: a hidden latch, cleverly disguised. With a click, the mirror swung inward, revealing a small, meticulously crafted room. She threw her head back and let out a whoop of joy that filled the empty space. She was the best detective ever!
