The library was a labyrinth of forgotten treasures. Leo, usually a solitary figure, relished the quiet hum of the place. He was researching his family history, a quest that had grown increasingly frustrating. Then, he found a biography of his grandfather.

He carefully turned the pages, expecting more of the same, dry facts. But as he read, he was surprised. His grandfather had been a man of action, of adventure.

Later, something fell from the pages. A letter. Addressed to his grandmother, the words described a secret love affair. A secret history. He threw his head back and let out a whoop of laughter. It was a feeling of vindication. He had hit the jackpot.
