“I can’t believe it,” I whispered, clutching the worn copy of "One Hundred Years of Solitude". The used bookstore had seemed like a dead end until today. My fingers traced the cover, my heart pounding in my chest. The book was a rare edition, a copy I’d been coveting for years.

Then, as I started to read, a crumpled piece of paper tumbled out. It was a postcard, a message of love written in a language I didn’t know. I felt a surge of energy. This was a prize, a victory. I felt I'd been given a gift.
