Gemotions

Rain lashed against the windows as Amelia, soaked to the bone from her long walk in the storm, found herself at the charity shop. She didn’t expect to find anything of value, she had only gone there for shelter. Until she spotted it: a tattered copy of her favorite childhood book.

She was surprised, but even more surprised when a small, leather-bound notebook slipped out. Inside, in a neat hand, were handwritten poems. It was a secret world, a hidden treasure. The storm outside seemed to fade away. She felt as though she could conquer anything.
